The beloved star, known affectionately to millions for her iconic role in "Meteor Garden," died of pneumonia complications following an influenza infection during what was meant to be a joyful family vacation in Japan during the Lunar New Year celebrations.
Her sister, prominent talk show hostess Dee Hsu (徐熙娣), shared the heartbreaking news through her agent, expressing gratitude for their sisterly bond and the precious time they shared together. Their final moments as a family in Japan make this loss particularly poignant.
